More Info:

Mark Iwaniak is a guitarist of many parts, impressions and instrumental moods. While acknowledging that somewhere inside him there is a screaming electric guitar racing like a cheetah on the Serengeti, Mark is also a player of deep sensitivity who can compose and play a blues or acoustic ballad with the touch and expression of a guitar master. This is Mark's second CD project after years of rock and country groups, New York City and Nashville show bands, Top 40 Rock Bands and tours throughout the USA, Canada and Asia (including Tokyo Japan and Beijing China) and over a hundred studio recorded demos, jingles and albums. This respected sideman has finally taken center stage with his follow up album "Enchantment", an impressive mix of 11 instrumental songs and 2 vocal arrangements all written, played and produced by Mark Iwaniak. The variety of song styles and tasteful guitar tones clearly show Mark's wide ranging-experience, and demonstrates moods of Santana, guitar harmonies of the Allman Brothers and gentle nuances of Dire Straits Mark Knopfler. The sounds and styles of the songs on this CD vary but the melodic phrasing takes a front seat throughout. "Enchantment" Infectious whimsical melody, great arrangement of instruments and guitar drives for such a mellow piece. "I Can Make It" This song moves and has that great Latin electric guitar feel Mark is becoming known for. "Don't Let Love Come Between Us" Passionate melody and lyrics. The song has a classic rock feel of Pink Floyd and Mark's vocals fit that mood. "Mister Groove" A down and dirty instrumental with some attitude. "Carnival" This is country and although different then the rest of the songs on this CD, shows Mark's ability to write and play all instruments in that style of music. The song was actually written for a morning country radio show theme song. "For years I've been a sideman guitarist with touring shows and now here I am, writing and composing songs and playing guitar music that has been in my head and heart for a long time. It's what I love to do. When I played my first New Years Eve job at age 13 in a small bar near the Polish neighborhood where I grew up on the east side of Buffalo, NY, I knew I was hooked and playing guitar has become a lifelong passion." Recently, some of Mark's compositions, including three songs from his first CD "Lost Lonely Rider" and one song from this CD have been featured on the Sunday evening Yellowstone Public Radio (KEMC-FM 91.7 Billings) program called Montana Music Show. His song, Buffalo Blues, was featured on YPR's Blue Light Boogie with Art Hooker program, which highlights world famous blues artists. Locals up early enough to catch "Marcy in the Morning" on Glendive Broadcasting's KDXN FM 96.5 channel will generally get a taste of his talent. His guitar playing and producing talent were featured in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Miss Montana Pageants and his song 'My Dancing Theresa' from the 'Electric Revolution' CD was selected to be played during the swimsuit walk portion of the 2007 show. "Mark Iwaniak is a guitar player who currently lives in Montana, but has lived and performed throughout the United States. He releases mostly instrumental albums covering many genres of music. The talented Iwaniak plays all the instruments in a broad range of styles, engineers and sings vocals on the mainly instrumental albums". Scott Prinzing... Director of Education MusEco Media and Education Project, Billings MT and host of Yellowstone Public Radio (KEMC-FM 91.7 Billings) program called Montana Music Show.
