This album was recorded in an apartment on a ski resort in Whitefish Montana. Biography Fresh Off the Vine is a trio featuring cello, acoustic and electric guitar, based out of Whitefish Montana. With original songwriting and a range of covered material to enliven any occasion. Fresh Off the Vine consists of cellist Jesse Ahmann, with guitar and bass by Karl Berdimurat and Lucas Mace. The Vine's styles range from an instrumental dining atmosphere to upbeat songs and grooves fit for any festivity. Cellist Jesse Ahmann discovered the cello at age 10 in Port Angeles, Washington through a string program offered by the school district. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Montana State University in Bozeman. He currently teaches private lessons in the Flathead Valley. He studied privately until the age of 22 progressing as a professional cellist playing in Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, on NPR's All Things Considered, in Japan, Bulgaria, Italy, Czech Republic and Germany. Jesse lives in Whitefish, Montana, and plays with Fresh Off the Vine, the Glacier String Quartet, and imports with orchestras across Montana. Guitarist Karl Berdimurat began taking private lessons in the Flathead valley at age 12, studying primarily under Paul Gunsorchick through his High School years. He also received instruction from Steve Eckels. And has taken three courses in music with Glacier Symphony's John Zoltek at the Flathaed Valley Community College. In 2013 Karl attended master classes through a scholarship, studying with artists such as Pat Metheny and Jody Fisher at the Crown of the Continent guitar Festival. He has played Guitar throughout the flathead with various artists including Jazz singer Shyamali Malakar. Lucas Mace, coming from a musical family, began studying guitar in high school under Steve Eckels, continuing on to audio school at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe AZ in 2008. He then moved to Huntington Beach, California to join the rock band Humanlab on lead guitar. After touring for 3 years, the band relocated back to Whitefish Montana where he began learning the drums and furthered guitar playing with singer/songwriter Amy Jean. In 2013 He received a scholarship to The Crown of the Continent International Guitar Workshop, learning from Legends like Robin Ford, Lee Ritinour, Daryl Stuermer, and more.
